Helikos International School of Theatre Creation was founded in Florence, Italy by Giovanni Fusetti.
Helikos is a place of theatrical and pedagogical research where, in the practice of theatre-making, the actor is creator of her/his own work.
Between 2010 and 2014, Helikos has welcomed students from all over the world to participate in an advanced professional training in theatre creation and movement theatre, in the form of two Three-Year Programs (2010/2013 & 2013/2014) and a One-Year Program (2013/2014).
After 4 years of trainings in Florence, at the end of the 2013/2014 season, Helikos has stopped offering long term programs in Italy. Giovanni Fusetti is offering shorter trainings around the world and he is developing further his pedagogy. The members of the pedagogic team are also continuing their autonomous journey.
